Hi Mouse here,

It's been such a long time since I've last written a blog post. You probably thought I gave up on the blog. That wasn't the case, it's been on my mind for a while to get back and post something. The issue was that I started a new job and I hadn't traveled until recently.

In July, I started a position with the Department of State, which entails working with the passport office. I can't get into too many details about it, but it's a lot better than my last job in the library. I'm quite grateful.

Things are going well in Denver, yet I can't say that I can call this home. It's still all too new for me. The first year doesn't count because most of it I was in quarantine. The real test is settling into this new job and seeing how well the Winter weather will be. I don't get to write as often as I would like, but I did start a new (fifth) draft of my Fantasy novel. I believe that I have matured in my writing and that my style has changed, so now I have to make my novel reflect that.

Our darling puppy, Clovis is maturing; yet he is still a rascal. Albeit a spoiled one. He doesn't play much with other dogs and can get pretty possessive over toys. He did really well at his day care meet and greet a couple of weeks ago. Next month we will be traveling for a couple of days and I had to find a boarding place for him. The meet and greet was a test run and the staff said he passed. I'm glad that it didn't turn into the debacle that I had with PetsMart (if you recall from my previous blog post; I was ranting about the fact that they were being discriminate).

Recently, I was looking up more about Clovis and researching to see what breed he could be close to and it seems that he is half Staffordshire Terrier. It turns out that breed are known for being loyal and loving; which is exactly what Clovis is. I feel that some people have a negative perception about pit bulls and other breeds that share those features; yet those breeds can actually be sweet.

That's it for the updates, my next post will be about my trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park. I'm excited to share that along with some pictures! Bye!
